The 4 Essential Tips For Learning Japanese

Below you will find 4 great tips to help you memorize the Japanese language. Although complex at first, Japanese isn't one of the harder languages to learn. Utilize the tips below and you will find memorizing and recalling Japanese vocabulary much easier.1) Flash CardsI say it every time, but I can't emphasize enough how useful flash cards are. The act of writing the cards out in the first place will help you to memorize words. Buy colorful cards, as when you're trying to remember words, associating them with a color will help.Draw relevant pictures on the flash cards; similarly to the card's colors, associating words with images dramatically helps the brain's ability to memorize. Spend one or two hours each day reviewing your flash cards.2) Make a Japanese friend! No this isn't a joke. Try to find a Japanese pen-pal that you can write emails to, or a Japanese friend to chat to. There is no better way to learn than by actually using the language in real-life every-day situations. Even if embarrassing at first, explain your situation, and I'm sure most people will be happy to respond to an email every now and again. They will be able to show you where you are correct, and where you are making mistakes that you may not have noticed.3) Read Japanese PublicationsTry and acquire some Japanese newspapers and books. This will help you to construct full Japanese sentences and paragraphs, as well as highlighting any Japanese words or phrases that you don't know. Research each word you don't recognize in a 'Japanese to English' dictionary and you will quickly improve your vocabulary.4) Read AloudWhen reviewing your Japanese notes and publications, read them aloud. This will not only help with your pronunciation, but also the word recognition section of your brain. As well as getting used to speaking Japanese, you will be getting used to hearing it.Use these 4 methods at every available opportunity, and you will improve your Japanese vocabulary.
